1)
Blue
shirt, sweat drenched. Blue shoes, nervously scuffling. A baby’s cry in the
next room. He rushed in, relieved. Blue eyes.
2)
Tomorrow, she said. Later lah, she said. Can
wait one, she said. But Death does not wait for anyone. Nor do exams. She’s
screwed.
3)
10am. Her body is unmoved, her eyes fixed onto
the screen, her index finger click-click-clicking. Suddenly it’s 5pm. Tumblr.

Her
smile is weak, but her eyes are strong. Her hair is falling, but her heart is
uplifted. Shaking but hopeful, she says, “I’ll survive.”
5)
He
never saw her cry before, but here she was: bloodshot eyes and a sobbing mess.
“You OK…?” Tears still streaming, she explained, “BBC.”

He stepped out the house, into the cold night.
Climbing up the tree, he sang. “Get the ladder,” the mom said, “Abang’s
sleepwalking again.”

“Oh
god, I love you,” he murmured as his tongue continued to flick around the top,
eliciting a moan of approval, “Ice cream, I love you.”

The
waterlevel rose with each step she took. Her ankles, her torso, her neck, her
nose. She is an Aquarius, and to the water she will return.

Socks, check. Jacket, check. Mittens, earmuffs,
scarf; check, check. I pushed the door and entered. “Welcome to the library,”
she greeted.
10) Your eyes shone with hunger, as carnal desire
bubbled in you. From somewhere, you growled. “Hoi!” I chided, “Tengok foodporn
lagi! Masak sendiri!”
